New rarities today comprised an Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian at East Linton,
Rustic Bunting in Cleveland at Hartlepool, and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Atedaun, County Clare. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Long-toed Stint in Cumbria, White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, both Spotted Sandpiper and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, King Eider in Moray, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (5), Devon (2), and the Western Isles. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Bedfordshire), Snow Goose (Forth), Green-winged Teal (Somerset), Glossy Ibis (County Wexford), Yellow-browed Warbler (Scilly), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Surf Scoter, Grey Phalarope, and Black Brant, three Great Grey Shrikes, eight each of Ring-necked Duck, Shorelark, and Lapland Bunting, and a total of 26 Waxwings. |
