A Radde's Warbler was discovered at Nanjizal, Cornwall, where it joined the lingering Dusky Warbler.
Other rarities still present included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, two Red-breasted Geese in Essex and another in Argyll with a Richardson's Cackling Goose, White-billed Diver in Shetland and Dusky Warbler and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly. Scarcity highlights included a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Little Bunting, two Yellow-browed Warblers, three Great Grey Shrikes, five Lapland Buntings, seven Shorelarks, an American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Grey Phalarope, six Glossy Ibises, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, two Black Brants, a Tundra Bean Goose, 15 Taiga Bean Geese, 21 Little Auks, a Long-tailed Skua, two Iceland Gulls and two Glaucous Gulls. |
