| The Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire at Brockholes LWT reappeared again late morning, 6 days after first sighting.
New rares today included a Pied Wheatear in Suffolk, Radde's Warbler in East Sussex and 3 Dusky Warblers (2 in Cornwall and another in Norfolk). Lingering rarities included the American Coot and Lesser Yellowlegs in Co.Wexford, White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Lothain, White-tailed Lapwing in E.Yorks, Pied Wheatear in Co. Durham, Dusky Warbler in Flints, 2 Red-breasted Geese in Essex, Northern Harrier in Co.Offaly, Ferruginous Duck in Staffs, Spotted Sandpiper on Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull in N'blerland. Scarcity highlights included 3 Pallas's Warblers, 74 Little Auks, 3 Great Grey Shrike, 21 Shorelark, 3 Richard's Pipits, 8 Glossy Ibis, 4 Iceland Gulls, 3 Glaucous Gulls, 8 Ring-necked Ducks, 4 Surf Scoter, 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 1 Serin and 1 Little Bunting. |

The discovery of an American Coot at Tacumshin in Co.Wexford was the highlight of the day. A Dusky Warbler was a good find for Flintshire, near Talacre, while six White-billed Divers appeared off Papa Westray in Orkney, with another off Skye in Highland. Continuing rarities included Northern Harrier in Co.Offaly, White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Lothian, Black Scoter and King Eider in Moray, Pied Wheatear in Co.Durham, Red-breasted Geese in Argyll and Essex (two), Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Lesser Scaup on Scilly, Eastern Stonechat sp and King Eider in Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Co.Wexford, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Further national highlights included Todd's Canada Goose (Norfolk), three Snow Geese (Moray), three Green-winged Teal, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, seven Surf Scoters, two Pectoral Sandpipers, Hoopoe (Ceredigion), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), five Shorelarks (Norton), Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), two Rose-coloured Starlings, two Richard's Pipits, Serin (Cornwall) and Little Bunting (Shetland). |

| A Northern Harrier was discovered at Lough Boora Parklands, County Offaly today.
Lingering rarities included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, single Pied Wheatears in County Durham and Kent, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Radde's Warbler in Scilly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, King Eider in Moray and two Red-breasted Geese in Essex. Scarcity highlights included a Barred Warbler, a Little Bunting, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Great Grey Shrikes, two Waxwings, five Lapland Buntings, 11 Shorelarks, two Glossy Ibises, a Pectoral Sandpiper, two Grey Phalaropes, two Rough-legged Buzzards, a Green-winged Teal, five Surf Scoters, five Ring-necked Ducks, three Snow Geese, 46 Taiga Bean Geese, two Iceland Gulls, four Glaucous Gulls, a Pomarine Skua, a Great Shearwater and 471 Little Auks (461 of which were off Fife Ness in Fife). |

| Discoveries today included a Pied Wheatear in Kent at Reculver, a Black Scoter in Moray at Lossiemouth, a
Lesser Yellowlegs in Angus at Montrose Basin, and in Essex now two Red-breasted Geese together on
the Dengie. Lingering rarities confirmed a still present were both the White-tailed Lapwing and Dusky Warbler in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Pied Wheatear in Northumberland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Radde's Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, Dusky Warbler in Cumbria, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, King Eiders in both Moray and the Shetland Isles, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Norfolk), Serin (Cornwall), Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), American Wigeon (Highland), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Great Shearwater, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, three of Yellow-browed Warbler and Snow Goose, six of Surf Scoter and Lapland Bunting, nine Shorelarks, 11 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 15 Ring-necked Ducks (including eight still together in Cornwall). |

| The highlight of the day was a Nutcracker in Highland at Castletown albeit just a brief encounter; the first to be seen in Britain since 1998.
Other new rarities comprised a Pied Wheatear in County Durham at Whitburn, a
Radde's Warbler on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's, a Dusky Warbler in Cumbria on Walney Island, a
White-billed Diver in Lothian at Dunbar, and in Essex a Red-breasted Goose on the Dengie where it had first been seen on Monday. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were both White-tailed Lapwing and Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter with three Surf Scoters in Lothian, Semipalmated Plover in County Kerry, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire, Red-breasted Goose and Richardson's Cackling Goose together in Argyll, King Eider in Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (East Sussex), Short-toed Lark (Norfolk), Hoopoe (Cornwall), Great Shearwater (Northumberland), Ring-necked Duck (Glamorgan), Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), Dotterel (Lincolnshire), Green-winged Teal (East Yorkshire), Black Brant (Dorset), two each of both American Wigeon and Lapland Bunting, three of Great Grey Shrike and Snow Goose, four Glossy Ibises, and a total of 12 Shorelarks. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Desert Wheatear in Devon at Thurlestone whilst
other new birds included a Dusky Warbler in East Yorkshire at Spurn and a
White-billed Diver at St Andrews, Fife. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the White-crowned Sparrow on the Shetland Isles, both White-tailed Lapwing and Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Pacific Golden Plovers in both Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, Red-breasted Goose and Lesser Scaup in Argyll, King Eider in Moray, Lesser Scaup on the Isles of Scilly, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Norfolk), Serin (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (County Louth), Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), Great Shearwater (Northumberland), two each of American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and Great Grey Shrike, three Richard's Pipits, four Yellow-browed Warblers, six Surf Scoters, seven Shorelarks, eight Lapland Buntings, nine Glossy Ibises, and a total of 11 Ring-necked Ducks included eight together in Cornwall. |

| The highlight of the day was a Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire on the River Ribble near
Brockholes; discovered in the late morning it could not be relocated by dusk. Rarities elsewhere comprised the White-crowned Sparrow still on the Shetland Isles, both White-tailed Lapwing and Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Pacific Golden Plover and Dusky Warbler in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, King Eider in Moray, and Ross's Goose in Ayrshire. Scarcities included Melodious Warbler, Pallas's Warbler, Short-toed Lark, and Red-breasted Flycatcher (Norfolk), Barred Warbler (Cornwall), Rough-legged Buzzard (Kent), Hoopoe (Isles of Scilly), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Ring-billed Gull (County Galway), Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), Yellow-browed Warbler (Suffolk), two each of Little Bunting, Richard's Pipit, and American Wigeon, three of Great Grey Shrike and Lapland Bunting, four of Surf Scoter and Green-winged Teal, five Ring-necked Ducks, eight Glossy Ibises, and 12 Shorelarks. |

Lingering rarities included the Taiga Flycatcher, Red-flanked Bluetail and White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, White-crowned Sparrow in Shetland, Wilson's Phalarope and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, King Eider in Moray, Lesser Scaup in Scilly, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire and Ross's Goose in Ayrshire. | New discoveries today included a Pacific Golden Plover near Deeping St James, Lincolnshire and a White-billed Diver off Low Hauxley, Northumberland.
Lingering rarities included the Taiga Flycatcher, Red-flanked Bluetail and White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, White-crowned Sparrow and King Eider in Shetland (with another of the latter in Moray), Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Wilson's Phalarope in Northumberland and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk. Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Short-toed Lark, a Barred Warbler, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Shorelarks, eight Lapland Buntings, an American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, nine Grey Phalaropes, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Black Brant, two American Wigeon, four Surf Scoters, five Green-winged Teal, eight Ring-necked Ducks, seven Glossy Ibises, a Great Shearwater, a Leach's Petrel, two Sabine's Gulls, three Glaucous Gulls, five Iceland Gulls and up to 2,290 Little Auks, the majority of which were off Fife. |

| A White-crowned Sparrow was discovered at Easting, Unst, Shetland this morning, where it showed very well. Other new discoveries today included a Red-flanked Bluetail at Flamborough and a Dusky Warbler at Kilnsea, both Yorkshire, another Dusky Warbler at Wells, Norfolk and a White-biled Diver flew past Fife Ness, Fife.
Lingering rarities included the Taiga Flycatcher and White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, King Eider in Moray, Lesser Scaups in Scilly and Argyll, Wilson's Phalarope in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Radde's Warbler in Kent and Ross's Goose in Ayrshire. Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Barred Warbler, a Bluethroat, a Wryneck, a Richard's Pipit, a Little Bunting, two Red-breasted Flycatchers, two Great Grey Shrikes, two Rose-coloured Starlings, four Shorelarks, eight Yellow-browed Warblers, 14 Lapland Buntings, a Green-winged Teal, two American Wigeon, four Surf Scoters, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 17 Taiga Bean Geese, three Glossy Ibises, two Pectoral Sandpipers, ten Grey Phalaropes, a Leach's Petrel, around 1,416 Little Auks, two Pomarine Skuas, two Glaucous Gulls, two Iceland Gulls and a Ring-billed Gull. |
