| New rarities today comprised an Isabelline Wheatear in Lothian at East Linton,
Rustic Bunting in Cleveland at Hartlepool, and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Atedaun, County Clare. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Long-toed Stint in Cumbria, White-tailed Lapwing in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, both Spotted Sandpiper and Dusky Warbler on the Isles of Scilly, King Eider in Moray, and Lesser Scaups in Argyll (5), Devon (2), and the Western Isles. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Bedfordshire), Snow Goose (Forth), Green-winged Teal (Somerset), Glossy Ibis (County Wexford), Yellow-browed Warbler (Scilly), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Surf Scoter, Grey Phalarope, and Black Brant, three Great Grey Shrikes, eight each of Ring-necked Duck, Shorelark, and Lapland Bunting, and a total of 26 Waxwings. |

| Discoveries today included an Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk at Cley, and
yet more Lesser Scaups with two together in Devon at Beesands Ley, and now a record five together on Islay, Argyll. A
Long-toed Stint was found in Cumbria but the site was not revealed. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Killdeer in Argyll, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper on the Isles of Scilly, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Lesser Scaups in both County Cavan and the Western Isles, and now three Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), American Golden Plover (Cornwall), Pectoral Sandpiper (County Durham), Yellow-browed Warbler (Isles of Scilly), Green-winged Teal (Somerset), two each of Ring-billed Gull, American Wigeon, Snow Goose, and Great Grey Shrike, six of Surf Scoter, Lapland Bunting, and Glossy Ibis, and a total of seven Ring-necked Ducks. |

| Discoveries today included a Killdeer in Argyll on Tiree, a Fea's or Desertas Petrel seen from Flamborough Head, East Yorkshire, in Norfolk a Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk at Blakeney Point and a Dusky Warbler at Holkham, now four Lesser Scaups together in Argyll on Islay with another in the Western Isles on South Uist, and single White-billed Divers passing both Aberdeenshire and Borders. Continuing rarities comprised the White-tailed Lapwing still in East Yorkshire, Semipalmated Plover and Pacific Diver together in County Cork, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, and two Red-breasted Geese together in Essex. |

| New discoveries today included a Blyth's Reed Warbler at Boddam, Shetland, single White-billed Divers off Isle of Skye, Highland and South Nesting, Shetland (where the long staying bird remained), two Cackling Geese at Balemore, Western Isles, single Lesser Scaups at Lough Sheelin, County Cavan and Loch Stiapabhat, Western Isles and two at Loch Skerrols, Argyll (joining the lingering bird), and the returning Ferruginous Duck appeared at Blashford Lakes, Hampshire.
Other lingering rarities still present included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs and Forster's Tern in County Galway, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in County Sligo, Ferruginous Duck in West Midlands, two Red-breasted Geese in Essex, two White-billed Divers in Orkney and two Dusky Warblers in Cornwall. Scarcities included a Pallas's Warbler, a Little Bunting, a Red-backed Shrike, four Great Grey Shrikes, two Yellow-browed Warblers, five Lapland Buntings, six Shorelarks, 13 Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, three Green-winged Teal, six Ring-necked Ducks, two Todd's Canada Geese, six Snow Geese, 21 Tundra Bean Geese, 29 Taiga Bean Geese, an American Golden Plover, 22 Grey Phalaropes, 200 Little Auks, two Leach's Petrels, a Long-tailed Skua, 28 Pomarine Skuas, a Sabine's Gull, a Kumlien's Gull, five Glaucous Gulls and 11 Iceland Gulls. |

| A small arrival of Dusky Warblers in the south-west resulted in now four being present in Cornwall (three at Porthgwarra and one still at Nanjizal) and three on Tresco, Scilly (with no news on the bird likely to still be present on St Mary's). Also new was a Lesser Scaup at Cloonacleigha Lough, County Sligo and a Ferruginous Duck at Marsh Lane NR, West Midlands.
Lingering rarities included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Black Scoter in Moray, Lesser Scaup in Scilly and two Red-breasted Geese in Essex. | A Radde's Warbler was discovered at Nanjizal, Cornwall, where it joined the lingering Dusky Warbler.
Other rarities still present included the White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, two Red-breasted Geese in Essex and another in Argyll with a Richardson's Cackling Goose, White-billed Diver in Shetland and Dusky Warbler and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly. Scarcity highlights included a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Little Bunting, two Yellow-browed Warblers, three Great Grey Shrikes, five Lapland Buntings, seven Shorelarks, an American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Grey Phalarope, six Glossy Ibises, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, two Black Brants, a Tundra Bean Goose, 15 Taiga Bean Geese, 21 Little Auks, a Long-tailed Skua, two Iceland Gulls and two Glaucous Gulls. |

| A Laughing Gull flew over Tweseldown Hill near Fleet, Hampshire mid morning, and a Red-throated Pipit was at Mizen Head, County Cork.
Lingering rarities still present today included the American Coot in County Wexford, White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Semipalmated Plover and Pacific Diver in County Cork, Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter and King Eider in Moray, Pied-billed Grebe, Red-breasted Goose, Richardson's Cackling Goose and Lesser Scaup in Argyll, two Red-breasted Geese in Essex, Northern Harrier in County Offaly and single Dusky Warblers in Cornwall and Scilly. | The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Radde's Warbler in Cornwall at Cot Valley. Rarities elsewhere comprised the
American Coot still in County Wexford, White-tailed Lapwing still in East Yorkshire,
Pied Wheatear in County Durham, White-winged Scoter and King Eider together in Lothian,
both Black Scoter and King Eider in Moray, two Red-breasted Geese together in Essex, Bonaparte's Gull
in Northumberland, and Dusky Warblers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (2). Scarcities included Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), Richard's Pipit (Cornwall), Long-tailed Skua (East Yorkshire), three each of Ring-necked Duck, Great Grey Shrike, Lapland Bunting, and Little Auk, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Shorelarks, eight Glossy Ibises, and a total of 10 Surf Scoters. |

| Rarities today comprised the American Coot still in County Wexford, Black-throated Thrush on the Shetland Isles,
White-winged Scoter and King Eider together in Lothian, both Black Scoter and
King Eider in Moray, Pied Wheatear in County Durham, two Red-breasted Geese together in Essex,
Snowy Owl on the Western Isles, Spotted Sandpiper and two Dusky Warblers
on the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Dusky Warbler in Norfolk,
Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, and in County Galway the age-old Forster's Tern
again returned to Galway Bay; where it was first seen 18 years ago. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), Serin (Pembrokeshire), Little Bunting (East Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Somerset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Suffolk), American Golden Plover (County Cork), American Wigeon (Bedfordshire), Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon), Grey Phalarope (Shropshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Scilly), two Green-winged Teals, three Great Grey Shrikes, four each of both Surf Scoter and Lapland Bunting, eight Waxwings, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 16 Shorelarks. |

| New rares today included Richardson's Cackling Goose in Co.Mayo, Arctic Redpoll on Shetland Mainland, 4 Dusky Warblers (1 Norfolk, 1 East Yorkshire, 1 Cornwall and 1 Scilly), Bonaparte's Gull in Pembrokshire and Black-throated Thrush on Shetland.
Lingering rarities included the American Coot in Co.Wexford, 2 Red-breasted Geese in Essex, Pied Wheatear in Co.Durham, Spotted Sandpiper on Scilly, White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Lothain, Northern Harrier in Co.Offaly, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire and Lesser Scaup in Argyll. Scarcity highlights included 20 Lapland Buntings, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, 22 Little Auks, 6 Glossy Ibis, 2 Iceland Gulls, 3 Glaucous Gulls, 2 Great Grey Shrikes, 6 Surf Scoter, 10 Shorelark, 2 Serins and a Little Bunting. |
