  New discoveries today included a Pacific Golden Plover near Deeping St James, Lincolnshire and a White-billed Diver off Low Hauxley, Northumberland.

Lingering rarities included the Taiga Flycatcher, Red-flanked Bluetail and White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, White-crowned Sparrow and King Eider in Shetland (with another of the latter in Moray), Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Wilson's Phalarope in Northumberland and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk.

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Short-toed Lark, a Barred Warbler, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Shorelarks, eight Lapland Buntings, an American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, nine Grey Phalaropes, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Black Brant, two American Wigeon, four Surf Scoters, five Green-winged Teal, eight Ring-necked Ducks, seven Glossy Ibises, a Great Shearwater, a Leach's Petrel, two Sabine's Gulls, three Glaucous Gulls, five Iceland Gulls and up to 2,290 Little Auks, the majority of which were off Fife.
