Wednesday 15th September 2021  
  New rarities today included a Great Snipe on the Shetland Isles at Loch of Brow, Mainland, and a Squacco Heron in Flintshire at Gronant.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present included White-tailed Lapwing and Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Black Stork in Lincolnshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, Balearic Woodchat Shrike on the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull in County Down, and on Shetland Arctic Warbler, Blyth's Reed Warbler, and King Eider.

Nearctic waders today comprised single Baird's Sandpipers in both County Cork and County Kerry, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Mayo (3) and Suffolk, four Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 26 Pectoral Sandpipers.

Scarcities included Ortolan Bunting (Scilly), Woodchat Shrike, Melodious Warbler and Bluethroat (Shetland), Marsh Warbler (Orkney Isles), two each of Surf Scoter, Red-backed Shrike and Lapland Bunting, three of both Rose-coloured Starling and Hoopoe, four Barred Warblers, five Glossy Ibises, six Long-tailed Skuas, eight Dotterel, 10 Common Rosefinches, and 22 Wrynecks.
