Rarities today included Green Warbler, White-tailed Lapwing, and
Black-browed Albatross all still in East Yorkshire, Black Scoter still in Angus,
Snowy Owl on the Western Isles, Black Stork in Lincolnshire, Western Bonelli's Warbler and
Balearic Woodchat Shrike on the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Down and Kent, and on the Shetland Isles two
Arctic Warblers still together on Mainland, and a Blyth's Reed Warbler new-in on Fair Isle. Nearctic waders comprised Baird's Sandpiper still in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, three Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and a total of 23 Pectoral Sandpipers. Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike, Melodious Warbler, Marsh Warbler, and Hoopoe (Shetland), Bluethroat and Sabine's Gull (East Yorkshire), Ring-billed Gull (County Louth), Spotted Crake (Dorset), Surf Scoter (Angus), Ring-necked Duck (Cornwall), Cory's Shearwater (Suffolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (Norfolk), Lapland Bunting (Western Isles), two Rose-coloured Starlings, three each of both Ortolan Bunting and Barred Warbler, four of Common Rosefinch and Red-backed Shrike, seven Dotterel, eight of Glossy Ibis and Long-tailed Skua, and 23 Wrynecks. |
