Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in County Cork at Aghada, a
Bee-eater briefly in Suffolk at Minsmere, and a Baltic Gull in London at Thamesmead. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, both Black-winged Pratincole and Bonaparte's Gull on the Shetland Isles, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Black Stork and Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Cheshire and Carmarthenshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs on the Isles of Scilly, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. Scarcities included Cory's Shearwater (one tracked along the coast from East Yorkshire to County Durham), Great Shearwater (Highland), Common Rosefinch (Fife), Red-backed Shrike (Aberdeenshire), American Golden Plover (Orkney Isles), Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), two Long-tailed Skuas, three Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of seven Glossy Ibises. |
