  New discoveries today included a Caspian Tern at Dungeness RSPB, Kent and two Wilson's Petrels off Aran islands, County Galway.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Elegant Tern in Merseyside, Western Sandpiper in County Waterford, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk, Suffolk and County Wexford, Black-winged Stilt in Devon, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent and two Wilson's Petrels from the Scilly pelagic.

Scarcity highlights included a Melodious Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Purple Heron, a Glossy Ibis, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Honey Buzzards, a Cory's Shearwater, three Long-tailed Skuas, seven Pomarine Skuas and a Glaucous Gull.
