	In Merseyside, the Elegant Tern appeared at Formby Point mid evening. Other new discoveries included a Ferruginous Duck at Foxcote Reservoir, Buckinghamshire, a Wilson's Petrel in Cornwall off Penzance from a boat and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Minsmere RSPB, Suffolk. Lingering rarities seen today included the Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Lincolnshire, Black-winged Stilt in Devon, White-rumped Sandpipers in Yorkshire and County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gulls in Shetland and Kent and another Wilson's Petrel off Scilly. Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Common Rosefinch, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Pectoral Sandpipers, a Glossy Ibis, a Glaucous Gull, nine Great Shearwaters, ten Cory's Shearwaters, up to 20 Long-tailed Skuas and 27 Pomarine Skuas.
