Rarities today comprised the Elegant Tern still on Anglesey, Black Scoter
still in Aberdeenshire, a Red-footed Falcon new in Wiltshire at Langford Lakes, both
Bonaparte's Gull and King Eider still on the Shetland Isles on Unst, an
Aquatic Warbler reported in Kent at Cliffe, and in Norfolk an Alpine Swift
at Cromer, two Black-winged Stilts still at Hickling Broad, and the mobile flock of nine
Bee-eaters showed again. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (East Yorkshire), Long-tailed Skua (Shetland Isles), Iceland Gull (Isles of Scilly), and a total of five Rose-coloured Starlings. |
