New rarities discovered today comprised a Citrine Wagtail on the Isles of Scilly on Bryher, a Lesser Scaup in County Fermanagh at Lower Lough Erne, and in Lothian a
White-billed Diver at Aberlady Bay. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the White-throated Sparrow in East Sussex, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Two-barred Crossbill in Nottinghamshire, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Penduline Tit in Somerset, Bee-eater on the Isles of Scilly, Spotted Sandpiper in Ayrshire, and Dusky Warbler in Merseyside. Scarcities included American Wigeon (Cleveland), Montagu's Harrier (Dorset), Grey Phalarope (Norfolk), Honey Buzzard (Pembrokeshire), Little Auk (Northumberland), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), two each of both Night Heron and Wryneck, three Hoopoe, four Little Buntings, five Green-winged Teals, six Surf Scoters, 10 Glossy Ibises, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, and 14 Lapland Buntings. |
