  Rarities today comprised the Black Scoter back in Northumberland at Cheswick Sands, the Northern Mockingbird still in Devon, White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, Bufflehead still in Warwickshire, Rustic Bunting still in Surrey, and a Dusky Warbler still in Merseyside.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Dorset), Surf Scoter and Shorelark (Lothian), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Essex), Black Brant (Dorset), two Little Buntings, three Ring-billed Gulls, five Glossy Ibises, seven Waxwings, and a total of 10 Ring-necked Ducks.

Incoming spring migrants included Little Ringed Plover (Derbyshire), Wheatear (Isle of Wight), eight Sand Martins, and 14 White Wagtails (Isles of Scilly).
