  The first White-throated Sparrow for Kent is in a garden near Orlestone, where it has been present several days.

Other lingering rarities seen today included the Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Northumberland, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Dusky Warbler in Merseyside, Long-billed Dowitcher in Cumbria, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon and Yorkshire and King Eider in County Kerry.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Yellow-browed Warbler, two Great Grey Shrikes, two Little Buntings, three Lapland Buntings, at least 34 Waxwings, five Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Grey Phalarope, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, six Ring-necked Ducks, a Tundra Bean Goose, two Black Brants, three Ring-billed Gulls, 11 Glaucous Gulls and 27 Iceland Gulls.
