  Lingering rarities still present today included the Belted Kingfisher in County Cork, Hudsonian Godwit in Fife, Bufflehead in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Moray, Long-billed Dowitcher in Cumbria, Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in Somerset and Suffolk, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Dusky Warblers in Merseyside, Kent and Scilly and Ferruginous Duck in Leicesterhire.

Scarcity highlights included a Little Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, two Great Grey Shrikes, three Richard's Pipits, five Yellow-browed Warblers, 11 Waxwings, 19 Lapland Buntings, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, nine Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Wigeon, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, nine Ring-necked Ducks, two Todd's Canada Geese, three Black Brants, 81 Tundra Bean Geese, two Ring-billed Gulls, ten Glaucous Gulls and 18 Iceland Gulls.
