  Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Kerry, Bufflehead in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Black Duck in Highland, Black Scoter in Northumberland, King Eider in Pembrokeshire, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Dusky Warblers in both Cornwall and Merseyside, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together on the Western Isles, and in Somerset three Penduline Tits, Eastern Yellow Wagtail, and Kentish Plover.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (West Sussex), Rose-coloured Starling (Anglesey), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Hoopoe (Gwent), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Surf Scoter, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, three of both Little Bunting and Yellow-browed Warbler, six of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 10 Waxwings, and a total of 31 Lapland Buntings.
