Tuesday 8th December 2020  
  Rarities today comprised the Pied-billed Grebe still in Shropshire, Bufflehead in County Down, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Penduline Tits in both Nottinghamshire and Somerset (3), King Eider in Pembrokeshire, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in North Yorkshire, and Richardson's Cackling Geese in both Argyll and Western Isles (2).

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (West Sussex), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Rough-legged Buzzard (Moray), Hoopoe (Gwent), Green-winged Teal (Western Isles), two each of Little Bunting, Rose-coloured Starling, and Grey Phalarope, three Great Grey Shrikes, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Ring-necked Ducks, eight Waxwings, nine Glossy Ibises, and a total of 12 Lapland Buntings.
