| Rarities today comprised Pine Buntings in both Kent and North Yorkshire, American Coot on the Western Isles,
Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pacific Diver in Northumberland,
Snowy Owl in County Galway, White-billed Diver inland in Lincolnshire,
Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Desert Wheatear in Devon,
Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. Scarcities included Serin (East Sussex), Surf Scoter (County Dublin), Yellow-browed Warbler (County Waterford), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Ring-billed Gull (County Clare), Kumlien's Gull (County Cork), three Ring-necked Ducks, six Lapland Buntings, 12 Cattle Egrets, 35 Shorelarks, and a total of 64 Tundra Bean Geese. |
