  Lingering rarities still present today included the Pine Buntings in both Kent and Yorkshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pacific Diver and Black Scoter in Northumberland, Eastern Black Redstart, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, White-billed Diver in Lincolnshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear and Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Northern Harrier in Orkney, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Lesser Scaup in Orkney and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Richard's Pipit, three Little Buntings, two Rose-coloured Starlings and three Yellow-browed Warblers.
