  Lingering rarities still present today included the Pine Buntings in both Kent and Yorkshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pacific Diver and Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Diver, Eastern Black Redstart and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, White-billed Diver in Lincolnshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Northern Harrier in Orkney, Killdeer in Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, two Little Buntings, a Temminck's Stint and two Yellow-browed Warblers.
