| Rarities today comprised the Dusky Thrush still in Derbyshire, Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire,
Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstarts in both Cleveland and Cornwall,
Stejneger's Stonechat in Kent, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Hooded Merganer in Clyde,
Black Duck in Highland and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Little Bunting (both Suffolk), Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), American Wigeon (Dumfrieshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cornwall), two Surf Scoters, three of both Ring-billed Gull and Glossy Ibis, four Rough-legged Buzzards, five Ring-necked Ducks, seven Lapland Buntings, eight Yellow-browed Warblers, 22 Cattle Egrets and 36 Shorelarks. |
