| Lingering rarities still present today included the Dusky Thrush in
Derbyshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, single Eastern Black
Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, Desert Wheatear in Devon,
Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire, Killdeer in Shetland, Hooded
Merganser in Ayrshire and Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire.
Scarcity highlights included a Surf Scoter, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Green-winged Teals, three American Wigeon, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls and 22 Cattle Egrets. |
