| Lingering rarities still present today included the Dusky Thrush in
Derbyshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, single Eastern Black
Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, Isabelline Wheatear and Hume's
Yellow-browed Warbler in Norfolk, Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire,
Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Lesser Scaup in Orkney, Pallid
Harrier in Yorkshire and Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford.
Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Great Grey Shrike, three Lapland Buntings, two American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, four Surf Scoters, six Ring-necked Ducks, a Ring-billed Gull, five Iceland Gulls and six Glaucous Gulls. |

| The Dusky Thrush continued to show in Beeley (Derbyshire) throughout the day, whilst the Masked Wagtail (Pembrokeshire), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Desert Wheatears (Devon and East Sussex), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler and Isabelline Wheatear (Norfolk), Dusky Warbler (Worcestershire) and Eastern Black Redstart (Lothian) all lingered. A Black Kite was reported in Somerset and the Rose-coloured Starling remained in West Sussex. | ||

| Hot news came in the form of a Slate-coloured Junco in a
garden at West Mersea (Essex) this afternoon. Elsewhere raritiy highlights included Forster's Tern (Co Cork), Dusky Thrush (Derbyshire), Desert Wheatears (Devon and East Sussex), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler (Norfolk), Eastern Black Redstart (Lothian), Isabelline Wheatear (Norfolk), Masked Wagail (Pembrokeshire) and Killdeer (Shetland). The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex) and Little Bunting (Norfolk). |

| The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire at Beeley, where it showed throughout the day. Elsewhere, a Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler
was identified in Norfolk at Scratby, the Masked Wagtail remained in Pembrokeshire, as did the
Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire,
Desert Wheatears in Devon and East Sussex, Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, two
Dusky Warblers together in Worcestershire, and the Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Ring-necked Duck (Cambridgeshire and Kent), Ring-billed Gull (County Fermanagh and Hampshire), and a total of 12 Cattle Egrets and 26 Shorelarks. |

| In Derbyshire the Dusky Thrush continued to show in Beeley, but it was more elusive today. Elsewhere an Eastern Black Redstart was discovered in Worcestershire (at the same site that currently hosts a Dusky Warbler), whilst Killdeer (Shetland), Masked Wagail (Pembrokeshire), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Desert Wheatear (East Sussex), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Hudsonian Whimbrel (Cornwall) and Eastern Black Redstart (Cleveland) all lingered. | ||

| Monday 5th December 2016 | ||

| Birders were treated to views of the Dusky Thrush in Beeley
(Derbyshire) today; first identified yesterday, it has
apparently been in the area for a couple of weeks. Elsewhere lingering rarities included Masked Wagtail (Pembrokeshire), Dusky Warbler (Worcestershire), American Coot (Western Isles), Killdeer (Shetland), Isabelline Wheatear (Norfolk), Eastern Black Redstart (Lothian), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Desert Wheatears (Devon and East Sussex), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset) and Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire), whilst a total of 13 White-billed Divers were logged off Papa Westray (Orkney). The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), American Golden Plover (Powys) and Richard's Pipit (Glamorgan). |

| Highlight of the day was a Dusky Thrush, which was found and
photographed in a garden in Beeley, Derbyshire this afternoon, and identified
from the photographs this evening.
A Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll was found at Burravoe, Yell, Shetland, whilst lingering rarities included the Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire, Isabelline Wheatear in Norfolk, Desert Wheatears in Devon and Sussex, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Black Duck in Highland, Lesser Scaup in Orkney and Ferruginous Duck in Berkshire. Scarcity highlights included a Red-backed Shrike in Cumbria, a Common Rosefinch in Shetland, a Richard's Pipit in Kent, a Rose-coloured Starling in Sussex, a Grey Phalarope in Bedfordshire and an American Golden Plover in Powys. |

| Rarities today comprised the Masked Wagtail still in Pembrokeshire, Killdeer
on the Shetland Isles, a Black Duck new in County Sligo at Templehouse Lake,
Isabelline Wheatears in both Argyll and Norfolk, Desert Wheatears in Devon and East Sussex,
Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, a Dusky Warbler inland at Ripple, Worcestershire, Pallid Harrier still in East Yorkshire,
Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, and Lesser Yellowlegs
in Dorset. Scarcities included Night Heron (Orkney Isles), Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Kent), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Grey Phalarope (Bedfordshire), two Glossy Ibises, three each of Ring-billed Gull and American Wigeon, five Ring-necked Ducks, eight Cattle Egrets and 52 Shorelarks. |

| An Eastern Black Redstart spent its second day on groynes at Torness,
Lothian, but there was no news on the Isabelline Wheatear in Argyll,
present yesterday for its ninth day at Machir Bay on Islay.
Other lingering rarities still present today included the Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, single Desert Wheatears in Devon and Sussex, Killdeer in Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Spotted Sandpiper in Cheshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire and Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire. |
