Tuesday 20th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Blyth's Pipit in Somerset, whilst the Dusky Thrush remained in Derbyshire, as did the Black-throated Thrush in Denbighshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland, Cornwall and Lothian, Red-breasted Goose and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and King Eider in County Sligo. In Gloucestershire a Dusky Warbler was reported at Coombe Hill Meadows.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Kumlien's Gull (County Kerry), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), two each of both Surf Scoter and Ring-billed Gull, three of Ring-necked Duck and Lapland Bunting, four Snow Geese, 25 Cattle Egrets, 31 Shorelarks and 56 Tundra Bean Geese.

Monday 19th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the identification of a Blyth's Pipit in Somerset at Blagdon Lake, where it is was first noted six days ago. Elsewhere, a Red-throated Pipit was found on Lundy, Devon, and in Norfolk a Red-breasted Goose was located with Pink-footed Geese at Choseley, whilst a Ferruginous Duck was new at nearby Titchwell.

Elsewhere, the Black-throated Thrush showed again in Denbighshire, the Dusky Thrush remained in Derbyshire, as did the Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Greater Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland, Cornwall and Lothian, Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Dorset, Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), two Richard's Pipits (together in Dorset), 22 Cattle Egrets and 40 Tundra Bean Geese.

Sunday 18th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Greater Yellowlegs in County Wexford at Cahore. Elsewhere, another Eastern Black Redstart was discovered, this one in Cornwall at Mousehole, with the returning Pacific Diver located nearby at Penzance.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, both Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Eastern Black Redstarts in both Cleveland and Lothian, two King Eiders in County Sligo, two Dusky Warblers together in Worcestershire, and Lesser Scaup on the Orkney Isles.

Scarcities included Little Bunting (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire) and Lesser Snow Goose (Merseyside), two each of both American Wigeon and Surf Scoter, three Glossy Ibises, four of Ring-necked Duck and Great Grey Shrikes, five Lapland Buntings, 32 Shorelarks and 37 Cattle Egrets.

Saturday 17th December 2016  
  In Derbyshire the Dusky Thrush reappeared in Beeley, whilst the Black-throated Thrush (Denbighshire), Eastern Black Redstart (Lothian), King Eider (Co Sligo), Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler (Dorset), Desert Wheatear (Devon), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire) and Masked Wagtail (Pembrokeshire) all lingered.

The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (East Sussex), two American Wigeons, three Richard's Pipits, seven Ring-necked Ducks and 51 Cattle Egrets.

Friday 16th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Black-throated Thrush at St Asaph, Denbighshire. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Killdeer still on the Shetland Isles, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, both Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Desert Wheatear in Devon, and Eastern Black Redstarts in both Cleveland and Lothian.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Gloucestershire), Surf Scoter (Devon), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), two Glossy Ibises, five Great Grey Shrikes, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Lapland Buntings, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 26 Cattle Egrets.

Thursday 15th December 2016  
  Lingering rarities seen again today included Eastern Black Redstarts in Lothian and Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire and Lesser Scaup in County Galway.

Scarcity highlights included two Richard's Pipits in Dorset, Rose-coloured Starling in Sussex, Great Grey Shrikes in Suffolk and Sussex, two Little Auks in Orkney, Todd's Canada Goose and Iceland Gull in Norfolk, Surf Scoter in Devon, American Wigeons in Cornwall and Dumfries and Galloway, Ring-necked Ducks in Kent, Perth and Kinross and Cambridgeshire, Glaucous Gulls in Merseyside and the Western Isles and 28 Cattle Egrets in nine counties.

Wednesday 14th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Dorset at Portland, at least the seventh individual to be located between Britain and Ireland since 22nd October.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstarts in both Cleveland and Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in County Galway, and in County Sligo two King Eiders and a Richardson's Cackling Goose.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Glossy Ibis (Essex), Ring-billed Gull (County Galway), three American Wigeons, four each of both Ring-necked Duck and Surf Scoter, five of Great Grey Shrike and Lapland Bunting, 25 Shorelarks and 33 Cattle Egrets

Tuesday 13th December 2016  
  Lingering rarities still present today included the Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, single Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Dusky Warbler in Worcestershire, Killdeer in Shetland, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire and Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Surf Scoter, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Green-winged Teals, three American Wigeon, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls and 22 Cattle Egrets.

Monday 12th December 2016  
  Lingering rarities included Dusky Thrush (Derbyshire), Desert Wheatear (Devon), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Eastern Black Redstarts (Cleveland and Lothian), Lesser Scaup (Orkney), Masked Wagtail (Pembrokeshire) and two Dusky Warblers (Worcestershire).

The best of the rest included 22 Cattle Egrets, three Ring-necked Ducks and American Wigeon (Highland).

Sunday 11th December 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of an Eastern Black Redstart in Gloucestershire at Tewkesbury; perhaps the individual at that present nearby at Ripple, Worcestershire on 6th December. In Ireland a Snowy Owl was located in County Galway near Spiddal, the Forster's Tern relocated to Aughinish, County Clare, and in County Sligo King Eiders were at both Ballysadare bay and Mullaghmore, and a Lesser Scaup returned to Lough Gara.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Dusky Thrush in Derbyshire, the Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire, American Coot on the Western Isles, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Eastern Black Redstarts in both Cleveland and Lothian, two Dusky Warblers together in Worcestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Lesser Scaup on the Orkney Isles.

Scarcitities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Kent), Surf Scoter (Devon), Rough-legged Buzzard (Kent), Glossy Ibis (Leicestershire), two Ring-billed Gulls, three American Wigeons, five each of both Ring-necked Duck and Lapland Bunting, 31 Cattle Egrets and 44 Shorelarks.
