| The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Masked Wagtail in Pembrokeshire at Camrose, where it showed well all day. Elsewhere, lingering rarities comprised the
Killdeer still on the Shetland Isles, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire,
Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatears in Devon and East Sussex,
Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, and
Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. Rose-coloured Starlings in Oxfordshire and West Sussex, Ring-billed Gull in Hampshire, Rough-legged Buzzard in Norfolk, American Wigeon in Devon, Ring-necked Duck in Cambridgeshire, two Surf Scoters, three Lesser Snow Geese in Aberdeenshire, three Glossy Ibises, seven Cattle Egrets and a total of 40 Shorelarks |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of Britain's first Masked
Wagtail on a roof in Camrose, Pembrokeshire. This Asian form of White
Wagtail has occurred as a vagrant in Norway (twice) and Sweden, and there are
several records further south and east in the Western Palearctic (including
multiple records in both Israel and Kuwait), so a British occurrence has long
been on the cards. Elsewhere lingering rarities included Desert Wheatears in Devon and East Sussex, Hooded Mergaser in Ayrshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Ferruginous Duck in Berkshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, whilst in Norfolk the Isabelline Wheatear reappeared at Burnham Overy Dunes. |

| Monday 28th November 2016 | ||
|
||
| Highlight of the day was the discovery of a Desert Wheatear
in East Sussex. Meanwhile the Desert Wheatear lingered in
Devon, and the Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire),
Long-billed Dowitcher (Kent), Semipalmated Sandpiper
(Co Wexford), Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire) and Eastern
Black Redstart (Cleveland) were also recorded. The best of the rest included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire), American Wigeon (Ceredigion), two Todd's Canada Geese, four Ring-necked Ducks and seven Cattle Egrets. |

| Rarities today comprised the Killdeer still on the Shetland Islses, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire,
Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford,
Bonaparte's Gull in County Clare, Lesser Scaup and five White-billed Divers on the Orkney Isles. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire), three each of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, 14 Cattle Egrets, and 31 Shorelarks. |

| The second Forster's Tern for Kent was discovered off Folkestone
today, where it remained from late morning until mid afternoon when it flew
east. A drake Lesser Scaup was found on Loch of Boardhouse, Orkney.
Lingering rarities included the Killdeer in Shetland, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Semipalmated Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset. |

| Lingering rarities still present today included the Killdeer in
Shetland, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon,
Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in
Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset
and single Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire and County Durham.
The best of the rest were a Black-bellied Dipper, a Richard's Pipit, a Ring-billed Gull, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Golden Plover, a Surf Scoter, a Ring-necked Duck, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals and three Great Grey Shrikes. |

| The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Killdeer on Shetland at Sandwick, whilst a Dusky Warbler was new in Norfolk at Holme, and an
Azorean Yellow-legged Gull was identified at Wembury Point, Devon. Lingering rarities comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dusky Warbler both still in Cornwall, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, and the Hooded Merganser returned to Lochwinnoch, Clyde. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (East Sussex), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), three Ring-necked Ducks, five American Wigeon, 10 Cattle Egrets, 11 Lapland Buntings and 42 Shorelarks. |

| Lingering rarities comprised Desert Wheatears in Devon and
Lancashire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Eastern
Black Redstart in Cleveland, whlilst the Forster's Tern
was again reported off Felixstowe (Suffolk) briefly during the morning. The best of the rest included Little Bunting (Shetland), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), Todd's Canada Goose (Norfolk), Lesser Snow Goose (Dumfries & Galloway), Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire) and a report of a Red-breasted Flycatcher in Co Cork. |

| In Suffolk the Forster's Tern was relocated at Felixstowe
Ferry late in the afternoon. Elsewhere Desert Wheatears
(Lancashire and Devon), Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire),
White-billed Diver (Shetland), Lesser Yellowlegs
(Dorset) and American Coot (Western Isles) were all recorded. The best of the rest included Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire), Todd's Canada Goose (Norfolk), two American Wigeons and 11 Cattle Egrets. |
