  Rarities today comprised the Masked Wagtail still in Pembrokeshire, Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, a Black Duck new in County Sligo at Templehouse Lake, Isabelline Wheatears in both Argyll and Norfolk, Desert Wheatears in Devon and East Sussex, Eastern Black Redstarts in Cleveland and Lothian, a Dusky Warbler inland at Ripple, Worcestershire, Pallid Harrier still in East Yorkshire, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset.

Scarcities included Night Heron (Orkney Isles), Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), Richard's Pipit (Kent), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Grey Phalarope (Bedfordshire), two Glossy Ibises, three each of Ring-billed Gull and American Wigeon, five Ring-necked Ducks, eight Cattle Egrets and 52 Shorelarks.
