Sunday 17th July 2016  
  Rarities today comprised the American White-winged Scoter still in Aberdeenshire, the territorial Little Bittern in Somerset, and the Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Scarcities included two Serins in Dorset, Sabine's Gull (Derbyshire), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Pectoral Sandpiper (Lincolnshire), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire), White Stork (Worcestershire), Glossy Ibis (Somerset), and three Cattle Egrets.

Seabirds included three Wilson's Petrels, a Great Shearwater and a Long-tailed Skua at sea off County Cork.

Friday 15th July 2016  
  Rarities today comprised a territorial Little Bittern still in Somerset at Ham Wall, White-billed Diver in Moray at Findhorn, and single Bonaparte's Gulls in both Kent and Northumberland.

Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Derbyshire), Hoopoe (Dorset), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), and Glossy Ibis (South Yorkshire).

Thursday 14th July 2016  
  New discoveries today included a Black Stork in West Sussex (over Knepp Castle Estate and at Pulborough Brooks RSPB), and a Bee-eater over Wrentham, Suffolk.

Lingering rarities included the American White-winged Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, single Little Bitterns in Somerset and South Yorkshire, White-billed Diver in Moray, single Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Temminck's Stint, a Sabine's Gull, a Great Shearwater, two Cory's Shearwaters and four Glossy Ibises.

Wednesday 13th July 2016  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Collared Pratincole and Little Bittern in Somerset, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, White-billed Diver in Moray, single Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Northumberland and two Wilson's Petrels off County Galway.

Scarcities included a Sabine's Gull in Derbyshire, a Pectoral Sandpiper and a White Stork in Yorkshire, a Cory's Shearwater off Scilly, a Temminck's Stint in Northumberland and three Glossy Ibises.

Sunday 10th July 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Collared Pratincole in Somerset at Ham Wall, where a Little Bittern remained.

Elsewhere, lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the American White-winged Scoter in Aberdeenshire, both the Dalmatian Pelican and Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Iberian Chiffchaff on the Isles of Scilly, and the Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland.

Scarcities included White-winged Black Tern (South Yorkshire), Common Rosefinch (London), Pectoral Sandpiper (Norfolk), Cattle Egret (Cambridgeshire), two Surf Scoters, and a total of nine Glossy Ibises.

Seawatching produced four Cory's Shearwaters and a Sabine's Gull passing headlands in County Cork, and a Leach's Petrel off Glamorgan.

Saturday 9th July 2016  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Little Bitterns in South Yorkshire and Somerset and Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Common Rosefinch, a White-winged Black Tern, a Cory's Shearwater, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, a White Stork, three Glossy Ibises and four Pomarine Skuas.

Friday 8th July 2016  
  New discoveries today included an adult Bonaparte's Gull at Oare Marshes, Kent and a Wilson's Petrel over the Porcupine Bank west of Slyne Head, County Galway.

Lingering rarities included just the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall.

Scarcity highlights were a White-winged Black Tern in South Yorkshire, Common Rosefinch in London, Golden Oriole in Suffolk, Temminck's Stint in Norfolk, Red-necked Phalarope in Northumberland and Glossy Ibises in Kent, Essex, South Yorkshire, Somerset (two) and County Clare (two).
