| New discoveries today included a Black Stork in West Sussex (over
Knepp Castle Estate and at Pulborough Brooks RSPB), and a Bee-eater over
Wrentham, Suffolk.
Lingering rarities included the American White-winged Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, single Little Bitterns in Somerset and South Yorkshire, White-billed Diver in Moray, single Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham. Scarcity highlights included a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Temminck's Stint, a Sabine's Gull, a Great Shearwater, two Cory's Shearwaters and four Glossy Ibises. |
