| New discoveries today included an adult Bonaparte's Gull at
Oare Marshes, Kent and a Wilson's Petrel over the Porcupine Bank west of
Slyne Head, County Galway.
Lingering rarities included just the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall. Scarcity highlights were a White-winged Black Tern in South Yorkshire, Common Rosefinch in London, Golden Oriole in Suffolk, Temminck's Stint in Norfolk, Red-necked Phalarope in Northumberland and Glossy Ibises in Kent, Essex, South Yorkshire, Somerset (two) and County Clare (two). |
