  Rarities today comprised the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider both still in Aberdeenshire, Dalmatian Pelican still in Cornwall, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland.

Scarcities included a mobile White-winged Black Tern in West Yorkshire then South Yorkshire, Common Rosefinch (London), Cory's Shearwater (Isles of Scilly), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), Ring-billed Gull (County Fermanagh), Montagu's Harrier (East Yorkshire), and Glossy Ibises (Kent, Merseyside and Shropshire).
