Saturday 2nd July 2016  
  A Short-toed Eagle was seen briefly over fields near Wykeham, North Yorkshire mid afternoon, but wasn't seen again in the area by this evening. A Bonaparte's Gull was present on the estuary in Cork, County Cork, and news was released of a singing Savi's Warbler at Strumpshaw Fen RSPB, Norfolk, present since Wednesday.

Lingering rarities included the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Great Knot in Norfolk, Little Bittern in Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.
