| Lingering rarities still present today included the American White-winged
Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Great Knot in Norfolk,
Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Little Bittern in Yorkshire and
Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland.
Scarcity highlights included a Red-backed Shrike, an American Wigeon, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Cattle Egret, a Glossy Ibis and two Surf Scoters. |
