  New discoveries today included a Bee-eater over Portland, Dorset and a Black Kite at Dungeness, Kent.

Lingering rarities included the Great Knot and Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Little Bittern in Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Marsh Warbler, a Honey Buzzard, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, two Glossy Ibises, two Cattle Egrets, two Glaucous Gulls and two White Storks.
