| A Bee-eater flew south over Spurn this morning, and a Black Kite
flew north at Danbury, Essex this afternoon.
Lingering rarities included the Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Great Spotted Cuckoo in Dorset, Black-headed Bunting in Highland, Little Bittern in Yorkshire, Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, single Gull-billed Terns in Lothian and County Wexford and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, an American Golden Plover, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Purple Heron, a White Stork, a Pomarine Skua and two Marsh Warblers. |
