Friday 10th June 2016  
  A White-throated Sparrow was discovered at Vaul on Tiree in Argyll today. Further north a Black-headed Bunting was in a garden in Glendale on the Isle of Skye, Highland whilst a Gull-billed Tern was at Tacumshin, County Wexford and a Bee-eater flew over Martletwy, Pembrokeshire.

Lingering rarities included the Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Great Spotted Cuckoo in Dorset, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, Savi's Warbler in East Yorkshire, Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland and Lesser Scaup in County Fermanagh.

Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Red-backed Shrike, an Icterine Warbler, a Night Heron, a Purple Heron, an American Golden Plover, a Buff-breasted Sandpiper, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Green-winged Teal, a White Stork, two Golden Orioles, two Marsh Warblers, two Glossy Ibises, three Roseate Terns and up to five Red-necked Phalaropes.
