  Suffolk stole the limelight today with both Little Bittern and Whiskered Tern at Trimley Marshes, Red-footed Falcon and Bee-eater together at Walberswick, the Blue-winged Teal still at Carlton Marshes, Serin at Landguard, Marsh Warbler at Reydon, Red-backed Shrike at Hollesley and Glossy Ibis at Mickle Mere.

Rarities elsewhere comprised a Greenish Warbler briefly in North Yorkshire at Scarborough, a Lesser Scaup found in County Fermanagh at Lower Lough Erne, the Semipalmated Plover still in County Wexford, Great Spotted Cuckoo in Dorset, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire and Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire.

Scarcities included Icterine Warbler (Highland), Common Rosefinch (Cornwall), Red-backed Shrike (Devon), Hoopoe (Norfolk), Green-winged Teal (Cheshire), Golden Oriole (East Yorkshire and Norfolk), and Red-necked Phalarope (East Yorkshire and Northumberland).
