Monday 6th June 2016  
  A drake Blue-winged Teal was found this morning at Carlton Marshes near Lowestoft in Suffolk and remained there for the rest of the day. There was a belated report of a Thrush Nightingale on Tiree on Saturday.

The Semipalmated Plover was again at Tacumshin in County Wexford this morning, whilst in Cornwall the Dalmatian Pelican again did a tour of the Land's End area before returning to Drift Reservoir to roost.

Other lingering rarities included Great Reed Warblers in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, Great Spotted Cuckoo in Dorset, Gull-billed Tern in Forth, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, Bee-eater in East Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling in Bedfordshire, American Golden Plovers in East Sussex and County Wexford, Red-necked Phalarope in Northumberland and Icterine Warbler in Highland. There were also seven Red-backed Shrikes, four Common Rosefinches, three Marsh Warblers and a Bluethroat.
