Monday 14th March 2016  
  The highlight of the day was reappearance of the Gyr on North Uist, Western Isles, whilst on nearby Lewis a White-billed Diver was located. Rarities elsewhere comprised Penduline Tits in Cleveland (2), Essex and Gloucestershire (2), Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, King Eider and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and Lesser Scaups in both Cornwall and Glamorgan.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Rough-legged Buzzard (Highland), two each of Richard's Pipit, Surf Scoter, American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck, Ring-billed Gull, Cattle Egret and Glossy Ibis, six Lapland Buntings and eight Great Grey Shrikes.

Spring migrants included nine Sand Martins, five White Wagtails, two Wheatears and a Garganey.
