| Lingering rarities seen today included the Glaucous-winged Gull in
County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel, American Herring Gull and
Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Penduline Tits in Hampshire and Cleveland
(two), single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire, Northumberland
and Hampshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Cumbria, King Eider
in Fife and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, a Hoopoe, a Rose-coloured Starling, three Richard's Pipits and at least five Ring-billed Gulls. |
