| Lingering rarities seen today included the Glaucous-winged Gull and
Black Duck in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pacific Diver
and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall (with another of the latter still in
Glamorgan), Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Pallid Harrier,
Lesser Yellowlegs and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk (with others of
the latter in West Yorkshire, County Durham and Hampshire), two Penduline
Tits in Gloucestershire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire and
King Eider in Fife.
Scarcity highlights included the Hoopoe, a Yellow-browed Warbler, three Richard's Pipits, a Waxwing and a Rose-coloured Starling. |
