  Lingering rarities seen today included the Glaucous-winged Gull and Black Duck in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk (with other Ferruginous Ducks in Buckinghamshire, West Yorkshire and Hampshire), single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Northumberland, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire and another Lesser Scaup in County Antrim.

Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Waxwing, three Richard's Pipits and five Glossy Ibises.
