  Rarities today comprised the Pacific Diver, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup all still in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Penduline Tits in both Cleveland (2) and Gloucestershire (2), Long-billed Dowitcher in Leicestershire and Northumberland, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Northumberland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Scaup in County Antrim and Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire, County Durham and Hampshire, and a Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll.

Scarcities included Hoopoe (West Midlands), Richard's Pipit (two together in East Yorkshire), Surf Scoter (North Yorkshire), Snow Goose (Dumfries and Galloway), Ring-necked Duck (Berkshire), American Wigeon (Highland and Lancashire), Cattle Egret (Somerset and Suffolk), and a total of seven Glossy Ibises.
