  Lingering rarities still present today included the Glaucous-winged Gull in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Dusky Warbler in Somerset, Penduline Tits in Hampshire (three) and Gloucestershire (two), single Long-billed Dowitchers in Hampshire and Northumberland, single Bonaparte's Gull in Hertfordshire and Devon, White-billed Diver in Orkney, other Lesser Scaups in Shetland and Glamorgan, single King Eiders in County Wexford and Fife, and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Little Bunting, a Hoopoe, two Serins, two Grey Phalaropes, four Richard's Pipits, four Cattle Egrets, four Ring-necked Ducks, five Yellow-browed Warblers, five American Wigeon, six Rough-legged Buzzards, six Green-winged Teals, six Lapland Buntings, seven Surf Scoters, eight Great Grey Shrikes and ten Shorelarks.
