| Rarities today comprised single Black Storks in both Aberdeenshire and East Yorkshire,
White-rumped Sandpiper in Norfolk, and three Bee-eaters at the nest in Cumbria. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Western Isles), Red-backed Shrike (Essex), Purple Heron (Suffolk), Spotted Crake (Norfolk), Pectoral Sandpiper (East Yorkshire), and Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall, County Kerry and Lancashire). Seabird highlights were Long-tailed Skua (County Clare), four each of Sabine's Gull and Cory's Shearwater, seven Great Shearwaters and 84 Balearic Shearwaters. |
