| Rarities today comprised the Laughing Gull still on the Wirral, Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire,
Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Black Duck
on the Isles of Scilly, three Penduline Tits together in Devon, Bonaparte's Gull in Argyll,
Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both County Cork and East Sussex. Scarcities included Night Heron (County Cork), Surf Scoter (County Clare), two each of Serin, Richard's Pipit and Shorelark, four each of both American Wigeon and Cattle Egret, five Rough-legged Buzzards, 10 Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Waxwings and 43 Little Auks. Notable gulls included 12 Iceland, nine Glaucous, seven Caspian, three Ring-billed and a Kumlien's. |
