	Lingering rarities included Harlequin Duck (Aberdeenshire), Forster's Tern (Co Galway), American Herring Gull (Western Isles), Lesser Scaup (Powys, Ayrshire and Cornwall), Ferruginous Duck (Gloucestershire and Hampshire), Pacific Diver (Cornwall) and Black Duck (Isles of Scilly). The best of the rest included American Wigeon (North Yorkshire), Night Heron (Co Cork), Rose-coloured Starling (Northumberland), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), two Serins (Essex), two Richard's Pipits (Kent and Dorset), two Glossy Ibises (Essex and Cambridgeshire), three Ring-necked Ducks, six Rough-legged Buzzards and 42 Waxwings.
