  Lingering rarities still present today included the Blyth's Pipit in West Yorkshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Eastern Black Redstart on the Isles of Scilly.

Scarcity highlights included the Barred Warbler in Dorset, Richard's Pipits in Dorset, Sussex and Norfolk, Grey Phalarope in Hampshire, Surf Scoter on the Essex /Suffolk border, Lesser Snow Goose in Norfolk and Lesser Canada Goose in County Wexford.
