Friday 5th December 2014  
  A male Desert Wheatear was discovered at Winterton, Norfolk today, with another still at Porthgwarra, Cornwall.

Other lingering rarities included the Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire and Eastern Black Redstart in the Isles of Scilly.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Grey Phalarope, a Lesser Snow Goose, a Glaucous Gull, two Iceland Gulls, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Richard's Pipits, four Great Grey Shrikes, four Shorelarks, four Lapland Buntings, five Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Rough-legged Buzzards and 10 Little Auks.
