Sunday 2nd February 2014
Ever rising water levels at Lower Moors, St Mary's, Scilly pushed a Sora into a viewable area near the Shooters' Pool today (where one was seen briefly back in autumn 2013).

An adult White-billed Diver was seen flying past Burghead, Moray, and an American Herring Gull was at Cobh, County Cork.

Lingering rarities still present today included the American Coot in Highland, Pacific Diver in County Tyrone, White-billed Diver again in Devon, Laughing Gull in County Cork, single Hume's Yellow-browed Warblers in Warwickshire and Kent, King Eider in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and single Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire, Glamorgan and Cornwall. Two-barred Crossbills were in Gloucestershire (six) and Yorkshire (five).
