| The fourth Paddyfield Warbler for Wales was discovered today in
Gwynedd. It is the third record for Bardsey Island, following singles in 2008
and 2009. A Red-rumped Swallow flew north over Portland Bill, Dorset and
a Black Kite flew west over RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire. Yesterday, a
Black Stork flew east over Pulborough Brooks RSPB, Sussex.
Lingering rarities included the Savi's Warbler in Suffolk, Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Red-footed Falcon in Cambridgeshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Ferruginous Duck in Somerset and Glossy Ibis in Pembrokeshire. |
